BJP Madhya Pradesh Unit to Elect New President on July 2 Following Nominations
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Madhya Pradesh is set to elect a new president on July 2. This follows the announcement of an election schedule by the ruling party. According to a statement, nominations for the position will be accepted on July 1, with results declared the following day.

The upcoming election will see a new leader replacing Vishnu Dutt Sharma, who has held the role since 2020. Vivek Narayan Shejwalkar, a senior party figure, has been designated as the election officer for these organisational polls. He outlined the nomination process and timeline for candidates.
Nomination Process and Timeline
Shejwalkar detailed that nomination papers for the BJP state president role must be submitted between 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm on July 1. Following this, scrutiny of these papers will occur from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Candidates can withdraw their nominations from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
The final list of candidates will be published at 8:30 pm on July 1. If voting is required, it will take place between 11 am and 2 pm on July 2. The election outcome will be revealed after vote counting concludes at 2 pm.
Election Officer's Statement
Shejwalkar stated, "The election result will be announced after counting of votes at 2 pm and the election process of 44 members of the National Council will also be completed with this." This indicates that alongside choosing a new state president, the selection of National Council members will also conclude.
This election marks a significant change in leadership within the BJP's Madhya Pradesh unit. The process is structured to ensure transparency and fairness, with clear timelines for each stage of the election.
