Ex-Ministers Vow to Serve BJP After Not Making Modi's New Cabinet
In a recent display of party solidarity, several Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders who were not included in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's newly formed council of ministers have extended their congratulations and reaffirmed their commitment to serve as party workers. Among them, Anurag Thakur, the former Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, expressed his unwavering support for Modi's vision of propelling India towards development.

Anurag Thakur, re-elected to the Lok Sabha from Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh, emphasized his role as a "party worker first" and lauded the competence of the newly appointed ministers in the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government. He highlighted the collective effort required to advance India's progress, underscoring the significance of unity in achieving national objectives.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar, previously the Minister of State for Information Technology, Electronics, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and Jal Shakti, encountered a brief moment of confusion among his followers due to a post on X about concluding his 18-year tenure in public service. This was later clarified to refer only to his roles as an MP and Minister of State, following his electoral defeat in Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram to Congress's Shashi Tharoor. Chandrasekhar reassured his commitment to India's advancement and his continued role as a BJP karyakarta (worker).
Smriti Irani, who served as a Union minister in Modi's previous terms but lost the recent election in Uttar Pradesh’s Amethi seat to Congress candidate Kishori Lal Sharma, also took to X to congratulate Modi. She praised Modi's leadership and expressed optimism for India's development trajectory under his guidance.
Ashwini Choubey shared a video clip of Modi taking oath as prime minister, reflecting on the collective aspiration for a developed India voiced by 140 crore countrymen. These expressions of support and dedication from BJP leaders underscore the party's cohesive vision for India's future.
The unwavering support from these leaders, despite not being part of the new council of ministers, highlights their commitment to the party's ideals and the nation's progress. Their collective message is one of unity and dedication towards achieving Modi's developmental goals for India.
