BJP continues boycott of assembly, may return on Thursday

The BJP members continued their protest demanding public apology from Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh for his "derogatory" remarks against their leader, P K Dhumal and other MLAs.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister told reporters that the government had made efforts to persuade the BJP members to attend the budget session.
"What can we do if they are not coming. I can only request them through media," he said. Singh said the government spent lakhs of rupees in gathering information to be provided in the House, but BJP was shying away from its duties of a responsible opposition party.
