BJP Chief Nadda Accuses Congress And Left Of Ideological Bankruptcy
In a recent series of election meetings and roadshows, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief J.P. Nadda launched a scathing critique of the Congress and Left parties, accusing them of ideological bankruptcy. During his campaign stops in Wayanad, Thiruvananthapuram, Palakkad, and Kottayam, Nadda pointed out the contradictory nature of these parties' relationships in Delhi compared to their electoral battles in other regions.

At the heart of Nadda's argument was the electoral contest in Wayanad, where Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is up against Annie Raja of the CPI, wife of CPI general secretary D. Raja. Despite their rivalry in Wayanad, D. Raja shares a cordial relationship with both Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in the national capital, highlighting what Nadda described as double standards and hypocrisy within the opposition bloc.
Nadda also responded to allegations made by Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra regarding Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), pointing out the inconsistency in the Congress party's stance towards EVMs depending on their electoral success. He labeled both Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi as "political tourists," criticizing their sporadic engagement with the electorate.
The BJP chief did not hold back on his accusations against Rahul Gandhi, condemning his belief in dynastic rule and alleging his involvement in protecting corrupt individuals. Nadda's campaign for BJP-led NDA candidate K Surendran in Wayanad was marked by allegations of Gandhi practicing divisive politics and engaging in vote-bank appeasement.
Furthermore, Nadda took aim at the chief ministers of Kerala and Tamil Nadu, accusing them of corruption. He contrasted this with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts to eradicate corruption from the system. The BJP president also highlighted various scams that occurred under the UPA rule, implicating leaders from the INDIA bloc.
On development projects in Kerala, Nadda claimed that the BJP and PM Modi have significantly contributed to the state's infrastructure, including new airports and national highways. He criticized Thiruvananthapuram Congress candidate Shashi Tharoor for failing to deliver results despite being elected for 15 years.
Nadda also addressed the support extended to Rahul Gandhi and the Congress by the SDPI, a political offshoot of the banned Islamist outfit Popular Front of India (PFI). He alleged that both the Congress and CPIM are conducive to anti-national forces, further asserting their ideological bankruptcy.
The BJP chief's campaign trail underscored his party's critique of the opposition's inconsistencies and alleged corruption while emphasizing its own development agenda for Kerala and other southern states ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.
