Jungle raj returns in Bihar: Two women thrown off running train, one dead
Bettiah (Bihar), Jan 8: A young woman was killed and another seriously injured today after unidentified persons pushed them from a running train near Bettiah railway station in West Champaran district, police said.
The two women from Uttar Pradesh, identified as Mamata Mishra and Shweta Verma, were travelling in Narkatiyaganj- Hajipur Intercity Express when unknown persons pushed both of them out of the running train.

While Shweta Verma died due to injuries sustained after crashing down on the railway line, the other woman was battling for life at a government hospital, police said.

The motive behind the incident was not clear immediately.
Mobile phones of the two women have been recovered and two men, to whom they had made their last calls, were being contacted to get clues of what had happened, police said.
The women hailed from Khalilabad town of Sant Kabirnagar district in Uttar Pradesh.
