Bhojpuri Actor Pawan Singh Shares Manifesto: What Has He Promised Voters?

A day after BJP expelled Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh from party, citing his independent candidature from Bihar's Karakat seat and anti-party activities, the popular actor shared his 10-point poll manifesto. Pawan Singh, who earlier refused to contest the Lok Sabha elections 2024, on BJP's ticket, has poised the contest in this constituency by making it a three-corner fight between him, NDA candidate and Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) president Upendra Kushwaha, and INDIA Bloc's Rajaram Singh Kushwaha, who hails from CPI-ML.

Pawan Singh's sacking was announced by Bihar BJP president Arvind Sharma, who reportedly took action against the Bhojpuri superstar for tarnishing the saffron party's image.

Pawan Singh Poll Manifesto:

Ahead of the sixth phase of polling, Pawan Singh has made 10 big promises to the people of Karakat including generating new employment resources, promoting agriculture, building a training center for farmers to learn organic and modern farming techniques, providing drinking water, enough water for irrigation, build resources to harvest water and build a film industry in his constituency for rapid growth, more job opportunities.

Bihar's Karakat will go under polling in the seventh and last phase of Lok Sabha Election 2024 on June 1, 2024.

Both NDA and INDIA bloc candidates belong to the Kushwaha community and the entry of Pawan Singh, who belongs to the upper-caste and hails from Bhojpur district, may give a tough challenge to seasoned politicians and is likely to dent BJP's upper-caste vote bank. Reports said BJP was not happy with this new calculation and likely division of votes, and only after that, state's top leadership including Bihar deputy CM Samrat Choudhary directed action against Pawan Singh.

Pawan's decision to contest Lok Sabha Election 2024 independently, may harm BJP at large as Bihar is a crucial state where party NDA won 39 out 40 seats last time, and they have to maintain their performance if they wish to achieve their target to win 400+ seats this time.
