Yogi Adityanath Calls for Unity at Maharashtra Rally: Batiye Mat and Chhatrapati Shivaji's Legacy

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticised Maharashtra's opposition alliance, Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), labelling it as "Maha Anadi." He invoked Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to emphasise unity and warned against division. Speaking at a rally in Washim, Vidarbha, ahead of the November 20 assembly elections, he highlighted the importance of staying united to avoid downfall.

Adityanath Advocates Unity in Maharashtra Rally

Adityanath recalled Prime Minister Narendra Modi's words during the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram's temple in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024. Modi had stated that this event marked just the beginning. The Chief Minister mentioned progress towards Kashi and Mathura, urging people to support the ruling Mahayuti coalition, which includes BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP.

Unity and Historical References

Drawing inspiration from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Adityanath urged voters not to be divided. He reminded them of Shivaji Maharaj's efforts to unite people and stressed that division leads to ruin. The Maratha warrior king's struggle was about self-respect and pride for the country. Adityanath noted that Shivaji Maharaj challenged Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in Agra.

The Chief Minister highlighted a significant change in Uttar Pradesh under BJP rule. A Mughal museum in Agra was renamed after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. This move symbolised a shift towards honouring national heroes and cultural pride.

Criticism of Opposition

Adityanath criticised the opposition for lacking concern for national values and principles. He accused the Maha Anadi alliance of ignoring important societal aspects. He questioned whether the Congress ever seriously considered India's identity and accused them of doubting the existence of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna.

The Chief Minister also addressed past security concerns under previous governments. He claimed that Pakistan once carried out terror activities in India, infiltrators crossed borders, and China staged incursions. However, he asserted that these issues have changed under Modi's leadership.

Security and National Pride

Adityanath emphasised that New India under Modi's leadership would respond firmly to border incursions. He mentioned recent developments where the Chinese army retreated, allowing Indian forces to resume patrolling. This change reflects a stronger stance on national security.

The upcoming Maharashtra elections are not just about gaining power but strengthening the mission of "Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat" (One India, Best India) under Modi's leadership. Adityanath encouraged Maharashtra to contribute to this mission.

Polling for Maharashtra's 288-member state assembly is scheduled for November 20, with vote counting set for three days later.
