Baseless! India Junks Pakistan's Allegations, MEA Says No Role In Balochistan's Khuzdar Blast

India has categorically dismissed allegations made by Pakistan, which pointed fingers at New Delhi for a suicide attack in Balochistan's Khuzdar district, resulting in the death of five individuals. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, labeled these accusations as unfounded and indicative of Pakistan's recurrent tactic to divert attention from its internal shortcomings and its notorious reputation as a breeding ground for terrorism.

Jaiswal emphasized, "India rejects the baseless allegations made by Pakistan regarding Indian involvement with the incident in Khuzdar earlier today. India condoles the loss of lives in all such incidents," further highlighting India's stance of condolence over loss of life while denouncing the blame as habitual on Pakistan's part.

The incident, which involved a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) targeting a school bus in Khuzdar, caused the death of at least five people, including three children, and injured 38 others. No group has claimed responsibility for this act of violence that the Pakistani Army has condemned as both "cowardly" and "ghastly." High-profile figures including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari have demanded justice for the victims, with the severely injured being sent to hospitals in Quetta and Karachi for advanced treatment.

India's Refutation and Pakistan's Internal Security Challenges

The blame game between India and Pakistan is not a new scenario, with Pakistan frequently accusing India of fostering unrest within its borders. Earlier, Pakistan's Foreign Minister alleged Indian intelligence's involvement in attacks within Pakistan, including the assassination of a Lashkar-e-Taiba member in Rawalpindi. These claims were swiftly refuted by India, highlighting Pakistan's long history of harboring UN-designated terrorists and utilizing proxies for regional destabilization. Following a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives, India underscored the elevated activities of Pakistan-supported terror outfits, prompting security alerts across the nation and concern from international intelligence communities.
