Despite being rushed to the hospital immediately, doctors declared him brought dead upon arrival, according to Circle Inspector Rajesh Khatana.

In a similar incident at the same procession, another 25-year-old participant fainted mid-performance. This time however, tragedy was averted thanks to swift action taken by Deputy Superintendent of Police for Baran city, Rajendra Kumar Meena who happened to be present at the spot. The young man had injured his mouth during his fall and was bleeding profusely when DSP Meena stepped in.

Showing remarkable presence of mind and training in emergency response techniques like Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), DSP Meena administered CPR on the unconscious victim for five straight minutes until he revived him back to consciousness.

Additional Director General (ADG)of Police for Crime Branch Dinesh MN took special notice and lauded DSP Meena's quick thinking and bravery on social media platform X. In his post, the ADG wrote: "RPS officer Rajendra Kumar Meena saved the life of a young man who got heart attack by giving CPR in Baran district. Kudos to the presence of mind of the officer and his heroism."
