Bangalore: Parents asked to sign form saying school not responsible for child's safety
Bangalore, July 17: How safe is your kid at her/his school? Not very safe, indicates the recent incident at a top international school in Bangalore where a Class 1 student was raped by a gym instructed and another man. What has ensued is even more shocking - Many top schools in the city has asked parents to sign a form that says that schools and their staff are not responsible for the safety of students, says a NDTV report.

The new order comes days after the alleged sexual assault. (Read here: Child raped: Parents protest against Bangalore school)

The form that says that the school or its staff are not responsible for "damage to loss of property, sickness or injury from 'whatever source' legal entanglements, loss of life or money..." when the child participates in events organized by the school - including field trips, excursions and camps.

Some schools have even gone to the extent of threatening to expel students whose parents went to the media.
