Sexual assault: Parents protest against Bangalore school

On Wednesday, more than 100 parents protested for over seven hours against Vibgyor High School in Marathahalli. They raised slogans and demanded to meet the school authorities over the incident. Police immediately arrived at the spot.
Allegedly, the school management tried to hush up the case and it was only after the news got leaked to the media, the girls' parents filed a police complaint.
The TOI report quotes a parent alleging that the school allowed public to use the school's swimming pool in the morning for a fee. "This reflects how safe this school is. We didn't know this during admissions,'' he said.
The parents reportedly warned the police they would stage an indefinite protest until the school management gives an explanation about the incident. However, the management didn't turn up, infuriating the parents further.
Some of the parents asked for their ward's transfer certificate. Many parents demanded that more CCTV cameras be installed in every nook and corner of the school premises.
