Family of Badlapur Sexual Assault Case Accused Claims Police Encounter and Seeks Justice

The family of Akshay Shinde, accused in the Badlapur sexual assault case, has called for justice after he was shot dead by police. Shinde's mother and uncle described the incident as an encounter. They questioned the police's account of events, which stated that Shinde was killed near Mumbra Bypass at around 6:15 pm on Monday.

Claims of Police Encounter in Badlapur Case

Family Questions Police Account

According to the police, Shinde allegedly grabbed a policeman's gun while being transported in a police vehicle. This was part of an investigation into a complaint filed by his former wife. After injuring an Assistant Police Inspector (API), another officer shot Shinde, who was later pronounced dead at Kalwa civil hospital. His family, however, believes there is more to the story.

Outside the hospital, Shinde's relatives accused both the police and the Badlapur school management of conspiring against him. They claimed that Shinde had informed them about being beaten by police while in custody. He had also sent a note asking for money, they alleged.

Allegations of Conspiracy

Shinde's mother and uncle expressed disbelief over the police's claim that he managed to snatch a weapon. They insisted that he was not in a state of depression and questioned the circumstances leading to his death. "The police have killed our child," they stated, demanding an investigation into the school's involvement.

The family further alleged that the police forced Shinde to write something, though they were unaware of its contents. They are seeking clarity on what transpired and are calling for a thorough investigation into both the police actions and the school's role in this incident.

The situation remains tense as the family continues to demand answers and justice for Akshay Shinde.
