Aamir intolerance row: Athawale calls Aamir's statement 'unwarranted'
Nashik, Nov 24: Republican Party of India (RPI) president and Rajya Sabha MP Ramdas Athawale on Wedneasday, Nov 25 said the statement of actor Aamir Khan was "unwarranted" and that it was "an insult to the country".
He was responding to Aamir's statement that his wife Kiran Rao was afraid to live in India due to the rising intolerance.

The situation in the country wasn't bad, and "expressing the view in this manner was an insult to the country", Athawale said.
The RPI faction led by him is part of the Sena-BJP alliance in Maharashtra.
