Union Minister Thakur Accuses Kejriwal Of Corruption Amid Calls For CBI Probe Into Mohalla Clinic Initiative

Union Minister Anurag Thakur accuses Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and the AAP of descending into corruption, highlighting the recommended CBI probe into irregularities in the mohalla clinic initiative.

In a scathing attack on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Thursday labeled them as the epitome of corruption. Thakur's remarks came in response to the Delhi lieutenant governor's recommendation for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into alleged irregularities in the Kejriwal government's mohalla clinic initiative.

Kejriwals Honesty Charade Exposed: AAPs Corruption Unmasked

Thakur's Criticism of Kejriwal and AAP

Addressing reporters in Diu, Thakur asserted that Kejriwal and his government, who rose to power on the promise of honesty, have now become the epitome of corruption. He highlighted the ongoing scandals and the fact that individuals associated with the AAP, despite receiving certificates of honesty, are facing legal troubles and being denied bail by courts.

Allegations of Fake Medicine and Testing Scams

Thakur further accused the Kejriwal government of being involved in a fake medicines scandal and a fake testing scam, which he described as a direct assault on people's lives. He criticized the government for its alleged fostering of anarchy and corruption, as well as its baseless accusations against constitutional institutions.

AAP's Response

In response to Thakur's allegations, AAP chief spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar defended the party and accused the BJP of orchestrating the so-called liquor scam. She criticized the BJP for misusing laws like the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), which make it difficult for individuals to obtain bail even in the absence of concrete evidence of money laundering.

AAP's Challenge to BJP

Kakkar asserted that if AAP leaders were indeed corrupt, they could easily join the BJP and receive a certificate of honesty, similar to Chhagan Bhujbal, against whom the ED dropped all charges after he aligned with the BJP. She highlighted the fact that over 230 cases have been filed against AAP leaders, but there has not been a single conviction. Kakkar maintained that the liquor scam is a fabrication of the BJP and that not a single penny has been recovered from any AAP leader.

Conclusion

The allegations and counter-allegations between the BJP and AAP reflect the intensifying political battle in India. As the CBI probe into the mohalla clinic initiative progresses, the outcome could have significant implications for the Kejriwal government and the AAP's reputation.
