AP: 9-year-old girl raped by 50-year-old neighbour; accused absconding

In yet another shocking incident, a 9-year-old girl was raped by 50-year-old in Dachepalli of Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh.

The incident came to light only after the girl complained of bleeding and pain in the stomach on Wednesday afternoon, following which her parents took her to hospital.

After a medical examination, doctors confirmed that the girl had multiple injuries on her body and had been sexually assaulted. The child, on being asked by her parents, revealed that she was raped by a neighbour, a rickshaw-puller.

Following the incident, angry locals blocked the highway on Thursday morning demanding the arrest of the accused Arnam Subbhaih, a rickshaw puller, who is absconding.
