Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu Engages Cognizant and Cisco for Investment Opportunities
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu engaged with numerous business leaders at the World Economic Forum in Davos. His aim was to draw investments into Andhra Pradesh. He interacted with senior executives from companies like Cognizant, Cisco, Maersk, and LG Chem.

Naidu shared on X about his meeting with S Ravi Kumar, CEO of Cognizant. "Today, I had the opportunity to discuss APs talent with S Ravi Kumar, CEO of Cognizant, a global leader in technology. We explored opportunities for growth in APs emerging cities and the potential to collaborate on advanced skilling programs to nurture talent in cutting-edge fields such as AI, quantum computing, and renewable energy."
Investment Opportunities in Andhra Pradesh
The Chief Minister also met Chuck Robbins, Cisco's chairman and CEO. He invited Cisco to join Andhra Pradesh's growth journey by setting up a Global Capability Centre in Tirupati or Visakhapatnam. Additionally, he encouraged Cisco to manufacture network components within the state.
In discussions with Vincent Clerc, CEO of Maersk, Naidu highlighted Andhra Pradesh's maritime potential. With a coastline stretching nearly 1,000 km, the state offers significant opportunities for development. Maersk showed interest in exploring these possibilities and anticipates further growth of the Vizag port.
Exploring Diverse Sectors
Naidu also engaged with Shin Hak Cheol, CEO of LG Chem, a South Korean chemical firm. He proposed establishing petrochemical units at Mulapeta or Visakhapatnam and a semiconductor unit in Tirupati. The aim was to attract investments across various sectors.
The Chief Minister's meeting with Carlsberg's CEO focused on setting up an integrated brewery and bottling unit in Andhra Pradesh. This was part of his broader strategy to engage with top global executives for potential collaborations.
The series of meetings at Davos underscored Naidu's commitment to fostering economic growth in Andhra Pradesh through strategic partnerships and investments from leading global companies.
