Amit Shah is house-hunting in B'luru: Wants to create war room ahead of Karnataka polls

Gujarat may currently be on his mind but Amit Shah's eyes are set on the 2018 assembly polls in Karnataka. Those close to the BJP national president are busy hunting for homes for Shah who is expected to shift to Bengaluru temporarily in the run-up to the elections. Shah's aides have reportedly zeroed in on a palatial villa near the Bengaluru international airport.

Amit Shah who has maintained a conspicuous silence as two senior leaders of the BJP, B S Yeddyurappa and K S Eshwarappa are at loggerheads is expected to visit Bengaluru in August. After the Gujarat elections, BJP's national president is likely to shift base to Bengaluru to chalk out strategies for the elections. Villas built by a prominent real estate company is currently being reviewed by his aides.

Proximity to the airport, distance from the hustle and bustle of the city and ensuring a private and secure place for discussions seem to be on the mind of the BJP leader while scouting for the house. Elaborate travel schedule and security arrangements for Amit Shah is also being considered while scouting for the house.

Karnataka was the BJP's gateway to the south. After gifting the Congress a win in 2013, the BJP for one does not want to repeat its mistake. Registering a win the Karnataka assembly polls in a priority for the BJP to maintain its winning streak.
