Amit Shah Accuses Congress Of Distorting Facts, Insulting Ambedkar And Savarkar
In a recent statement, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has strongly criticized the Congress party for distorting facts and disrespecting key figures in India's history. Shah accused Congress of being anti-BR Ambedkar, anti-reservation, and against the Constitution, as well as insulting Veer Savarkar.
Amit Shah Condemns Congress' Distortion of Facts

Amit Shah expressed his disappointment over the Congress party's attempts to misrepresent facts in recent discussions. He stated that Congress has been presenting a distorted version of history, particularly regarding the legacy of India's founding figures. Shah specifically condemned Congress for undermining the contributions of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, claiming that the party is anti-Ambedkar and opposes reservation policies intended to uplift marginalized communities.
Congress Accused of Insulting Veer Savarkar
Shah also turned his focus to Congress's treatment of prominent national figure Veer Savarkar. He accused Congress of insulting Savarkar, who is known for his contributions to the Indian independence movement. The Home Minister emphasized that such disrespect toward iconic leaders is unacceptable, especially considering their pivotal roles in shaping the nation's democratic and constitutional values.
Criticism of Emergency and Violation of Constitutional Values
Amit Shah further criticized Congress for imposing the Emergency in 1975, a move he described as a direct violation of constitutional values. He reiterated that the Emergency had undermined democracy and freedom of the press, leading to significant political and civil unrest during that period. Shah's remarks come amid ongoing political debates regarding the historical legacies of political leaders and their influence on India's democracy.
