Allu Arjun Said Pushpa 2 Will Be A Big Hit After Stampede: AIMIM Leader Akbaruddin Owaisi Makes Shocking Claim
AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi, known for his controversial statements on Saturday criticised Telugu actor Allu Arjun for his "insensitive" actions following a stampede at the premiere of 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' in Hyderabad. Speaking in the Telangana Assembly, Owaisi accused Arjun of watching the film and waving to fans despite a woman's death during the incident.
The tragic stampede occurred on December 4 when a large crowd gathered at Sandhya Theatre to see Arjun and his co-star Rashmika Mandhana. A 39-year-old woman lost her life, and her son was severely injured. Police reported that the theatre management had not made adequate arrangements for crowd control.

Allu Arjun's Arrest
Amidst high drama, Allu Arjun was arrested from his home on December 13 in connection with the stampede. A lower court initially placed him in judicial custody for 14 days. However, he received interim bail from the Telangana High Court on the same day. Due to delays in uploading bail order copies, Arjun spent a night in jail.
Owaisi further alleged that after being informed about the stampede and a person's death, Arjun remarked that "now the movie will be hit." This statement was made without directly naming the actor but clearly pointed towards him.
Chief Minister's Remarks
In the Assembly, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy claimed that Allu Arjun attended the screening of 'Pushpa 2' despite police denying permission. Reddy stated, "Before entering and while exiting the theatre, he stood through his car's sunroof and waved to crowds," causing fans to jostle for a glimpse.
Owaisi expressed disappointment over Arjun's lack of concern for those affected by the stampede. He compared this with his own public meetings where he ensures no such incidents occur. "Even after the stampede incident, he watched the film and waved to the crowd from his car while going back," Owaisi said.
The incident has sparked widespread criticism of both Allu Arjun and theatre management for their handling of fan gatherings. The lack of proper arrangements led to chaos and tragedy during what should have been a celebratory event.
