Allahabad HC Puts Stay Order For 15 Days On Bulldozer Action In Violence-Hit Bahraich
The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has temporarily halted bulldozer action against the homes of the accused in Bahraich communal violence.
This stay will remain in effect for 15 days, during which the court will hear the case and deliver its final decision.

The main accused in the Bahraich violence, Abdul Hamid, along with others, has filed a petition in the High Court requesting a stay on the bulldozer action against their homes.
The petitioners claim that the Uttar Pradesh government is taking illegal action against them. These homes have been declared as illegal constructions.
Recently, the Uttar Pradesh Public Works Department (PWD) issued demolition notices to more than two dozen individuals, including the main accused in Bahraich, declaring their homes as illegal constructions.
This notice has created an atmosphere of fear in the area.
It states that illegal construction has been carried out at Abdul Hamid's house, obstructing the pathway.
Furthermore, the notice clearly states that if the homeowners do not remove this illegal construction themselves within three days, the PWD will proceed with demolition.
The Allahabad High Court's Lucknow bench will hear the petition regarding the illegal construction.
The court will listen to both sides' arguments before deciding whether illegal construction has taken place and whether it should be demolished.
It is worth mentioning that violence erupted between two communities during the immersion of a Durga idol in Bahraich a few days ago, leading to firing and stone-pelting from both sides.
A young man participating in the immersion procession was killed in the gunfire. The police are currently investigating over three dozen individuals in connection with this case.
