All 10 in 2005 Hyderabad bombing case acquitted
While acquitting the accused, the court pulled up the prosecution and said that the conspiracy charges were not proved.
After spending 12 years in jail, ten terror suspects were acquitted by a Hyderabad court which heard the October 12 2005 suicide bombing case. It was a major set back for the prosecution which was pulled up by the court for not being able to prove the conspiracy charges.

On October 12 2005 a suicide bomber blew himself up in from the police task force office, Hyderabad. Nine of the accused spent 12 years in jail while the tenth has been out on bail. Two persons who were acquitted are also accused in the 2005 Jaunpur Shramajeevi Express blast case. They will now be transferred to the Jaunpur jail in Uttar Pradesh while the remaining walked free out of the Chanchalguda prison in Hyderabad.
Mohtasim Billal, a HuJI member and native of Bangladesh, walked into the police office with a backpack stuffed with explosives, including ammonium nitrate, and blew himself up.
While acquitting the accused, the court pulled up the prosecution and said that the conspiracy charges were not proved. The court said that the material seized from the accused persons did not amount to clinching evidence.
