The announcement was made through a post on his official Instagram account and quickly drew attention on social media.

In his post, Prateek Yadav made serious allegations against Aparna Yadav. He accused her of being selfish and claimed that she had damaged his family relationships. He also said that she was focused only on gaining influence and public attention.

Prateek stated that he is going through mental stress and felt that his concerns were being ignored.

Prateek Yadav and Aparna Yadav got engaged in 2011 and were married in 2012. Their wedding was considered one of the most high-profile ceremonies in Uttar Pradesh at the time. Prateek Yadav is the stepbrother of Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav. Unlike other members of the Yadav family, Prateek has stayed away from active politics. He is mainly involved in business and is often in the news for his lavish lifestyle.
