36-Year-Old Amazon Senior Manager Shot Dead In North East Delhi

A 36-year-old Amazon senior manager lost his life when he was shot in the Subhash Vihar locality of North East Delhi's Bhajanpura. The tragic incident occurred as five youths on two-wheelers initiated "unprovoked firing" before swiftly fleeing the scene, as reported by the police on Wednesday.

Tragically, another individual sustained injuries in the attack and has been admitted to a hospital. The deceased victim, identified as Harpreet Singh, was declared brought dead upon arrival at the hospital. The medical report confirmed that he succumbed to a gunshot wound to the head, with the entry point located behind his right ear and the exit wound on the opposite side.

The injured individual, Govind Singh (32), is known for running a momo stall. He has been referred to LNJP Hospital for further treatment.

The incident unfolded as Harpreet and Govind were riding their bike near Gali No. 8. The assailants, riding a scooter and a motorcycle, abruptly intercepted them. Without any provocation, the attackers opened fire and swiftly fled the scene.

Delhi Police revealed, "CCTV footage in the area is currently under review. Efforts are underway to identify the culprits. The motive behind the shooting is being investigated. A case of murder has been registered, and further inquiry is in progress."

A relative of the deceased shared, "He was shot in the head, and we rushed him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. My cousin's son was also shot in the head, but fortunately, he is stable. We are unaware of the identities of the assailants," conveying the family's shock and grief.
