Delhi: 25-yr-old woman gang-raped by friend, 2 others at V-Day party

New Delhi, Feb 15: A 25-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by her friend and two others after they purportedly laced her drink with sedatives during a Valentine's Day party in south Delhi's Rangpuri area.

The incident took place last evening, police said on Feb 14. Delhi Police has arrested her friend, who is the main accused in this connection, while efforts are on to nab the remaining two accused who were not known to the victim.

"The woman's friend had called her to his house last night on the pretext of celebrating Valentine's Day. The two men were already present there. They gave her a glass of soft drink. The woman started to feel dizzy after consuming it and soon lost consciousness."

"When she came back to her senses, she realised that the three men had allegedly raped her. She somehow managed to escape and reached home where she narrated the incident to her mother, who then called up the police control room," a police official said.

A case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the IPC at Vasant Kunj (South) police station, police said. In her complaint to the police, the victim has also said that the prime accused had promised to marry her.
