Technology boost: Telangana to enjoy free wi-fi services
Hyderabad, April 18: Riding high on the free wi-fi bandwagon, IT minister KT Ramarao on Thursday inaugurated free wifi services here.
The free wi-fi services are available in areas such as Lumbini Park, Tank Bund, Necklace Road and adjoining areas up to 10-km radius.

Rao made the first phone call to Union Telecom Minister Ravishaka Prasad using the wi-fi service and spoke to him for five minutes.
Free wi-fi will be available for the first half hour following which people can pay Rs 30, Rs 50, Rs 90 and Rs 150 for a validity of 30, 60, 120 minutes and one day, respectively.
Tourists will be able to enjoy the wi-fi services at a speed of 2 Mbps to 20 Mbps.
Meanwhile, the wifi spots will be available in 30 places in Hyderabad but will soon extend to all major cities of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in the next three years.
