Just 10 days ago, the 37-year-old legislator had narrowly survived an accident in Narkatpally. She was en route to a rally addressed by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy when her vehicle was struck by a drunk driver. Unfortunately, her home guard lost his life in the incident, while she sustained minor injuries.

The fatal accident today occurred when the driver of her Maruti XL6 lost control, crashing into a metal divider on the Outer Ring Road in Hyderabad. Lasya Nanditha succumbed to her injuries at the spot, while her driver remains in critical condition and is receiving treatment at a private hospital. The accident occurred around 5.30 am.

The 37-year-old first-time legislator from Secunderabad Cantonment (SC) was shifted to a hospital where the doctors declared her dead on arrival.

Lasya Nanditha, born in Hyderabad in 1986, entered the political arena approximately ten years ago. Beginning her career as a corporator in the Kavadiguda ward, she later went on to secure victory as an MLA from Secunderabad Cantonment in the 2023 Telangana assembly elections.
