Allu Arjun Granted Bail In Sandhya Theatre Stampede Case At Pushpa 2 Premiere In Hyderabad
Telugu actor Allu Arjun on Friday got regular bail in connection with the Sandhya Theatre stampede case that occurred in Hyderabad on December 4.
The court has asked the Pushpa 2 actor to submit a bond of Rs 50,000 as part of the bail conditions. However, there are no other special conditions have been imposed by the court.

What Allu Arjun's Lawyer Said?
"The court has agreed to grant regular bail to Allu Arjun and that he's not responsible for the situation that took place at Sandhya Theatre. Only one regular condition which is applicable to everyone that is he should appear before police every Sunday. No special conditions apart from regular ones. Further proceedings of quash petition will continue in HC and the date of hearing is 21st January," ANI quoted the actor's legal counsel Ashok Reddy as saying.
The unfortunate incident occurred during a special fans' show organized for the release of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre. The event took a tragic turn when a stampede resulted in the death of a woman.
On December 13, Arjun was arrested in connection with the incident. However, he was granted a four-week interim bail by the Telangana High Court the same day. However, he was forced to spend a night in Hyderabad jail.
In court, Allu Arjun's legal team, led by senior counsel Reddy, argued that the actor had no intention to cause harm and highlighted the absence of police-issued prohibition orders on the day of the event. Reddy also referenced previous incidents, such as the stampede at the premiere of Raees, to emphasize that such occurrences are not unprecedented. He contended that Arjun should not be held solely accountable for the tragedy.
The public prosecutor, however, opposed the bail, arguing that Arjun's unplanned arrival at the venue created chaos, overwhelming the crowd and leading to the stampede.
Telangana CM Detailed The Incident In Assembly
Earlier, speaking in the Telangana Assembly, the CM detailed how the Sandhya Theatre management had sought security from the Chikkadapalli Police Station on December 2, anticipating large crowds due to the attendance of the film's key cast and crew, including Allu Arjun. However, the police denied the request, citing the theater's limited entry and exit points and the crowded surroundings, warning that it would be unsafe to allow such high-profile visits.
He pointed out that there are over 10 theatres on the road and defended the authorities' decision to deny permission. Allu Arjun Arrived Despite Denying Permission: Reddy Despite permission being denied, Allu Arjun arrived at the Sandhya theatre, greeting fans from the roof of his car. This sparked chaos as a massive crowd surged to see him, leading to a stampede when the theater gate was opened to allow his vehicle inside.
"What happened to him (Allu Arjun)? Did he lose his legs or his eyesight? They meet and greet him, but not a single one visited the victim's family.... this is a family that earns just ₹30,000 a month but spent ₹3,000 on tickets because their son is a fan of Allu Arjun," the CM added.
