Accident Caught On Camera: Speeding Car Rams Truck, Kills 3 On Spot in Hyderabad
In a heartbreaking accident on the outskirts of Hyderabad, three young men lost their lives and another sustained serious injuries after a high-speed crash between a Skoda car and a DCM vehicle in the early hours of Wednesday.
3 Killed On Spot, Survivor Battling For Life
The fatal collision occurred around 5:45 am near Narayana College's Basara campus in Kuntloor, under Hayatnagar police limits. The victims were identified as Pinninti ChandraSena Reddy (24), Chunchu Thrinadh Reddy (24), and Chunchu Varshith Reddy (23)-all residents of Kuntloor. Their bodies were taken to Osmania Hospital Mortuary for further procedures.

The Skoda, travelling from Pasumamula Village towards Kuntloor, crashed head-on into a DCM truck coming from the opposite direction near a sharp curve close to the AEGIS LPG bunk.
The shocking accident was caught on camera, and the clip has now gone viral on social media sites.

The intensity of the impact was devastating, killing three occupants of the car on the spot. The only survivor, 24-year-old Alimeti Pawan Kalyan Reddy, suffered critical injuries and is currently being treated at Sunrise Hospital in Hayathnagar.
Police have launched a detailed investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
Accidental Deaths In Telangana On Rise
Road accidents in the state have seen a troubling increase, with data from the transport department revealing a 35% surge in accident rates between 2020 and 2024. This rise is significantly higher than the 21% growth in the number of vehicles on the road during the same period, indicating heightened risks for commuters, according to a report published in The Times of India in February 2025.
In 2020, there were 19,164 road accidents, a number that climbed to 25,934 by 2024. Concurrently, the vehicle count increased from 1.4 crore to 1.7 crore. The human cost of these accidents is equally alarming: the death toll rose from 6,668 in 2020 to 7,773 in 2024. The current fatality rate for road accidents stands at a stark 30%.
