Twitter wakes up early to Suchitra Sen's death; Political fans mourn

"Sen had breathing problems and her oxygen saturation limit dipped. Seeing the deterioration in her condition, the doctors put her on non-invasive ventilation," said one of them. She had primarily complained of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Living in recluse after 25 years of ruling the Bengali film industry, Suchitra Sen had an aura about her. "Probably, she wanted her fans to harbour her 'Mahanayika' (Superstar) image till her death, hence the retirement from public life," opined many fans and experts.
While these were contemplative comments, the Twitterati bursted with "powerful overflow of spontaneous emotions". Fans and film critics across the country poured their hearts out. Even Sushma Swaraj and Shivraj Singh Chouhan weren't left behind.
Pakistan's Mehr Tarar, who was recently in the headlines for her alleged Shashi Tharoor Twitter hacking row, also expressed deep sorrow at the demise of the actress.
