Neighbors recall it as a short visit when Pari came to leave her two children Sheena (2) and Mikhail (1) with her parents. A relative said,"She was living in Calcutta at the time with one Sidhhartha Das. Sheena and Mikhail were the children of Pari and Sidhhartha. She left as quietly and as hastily as she came, leaving the kids with her parents, never to return till after her marriage to Peter Mukerjea."

tta and used to shuttle between Guwahati and Calcutta. He and Indrani were the parents of the kids. While Siddhartha visited the children quite often initially, the frequency dwindled with time and then stopped suddenly.
Though one of Sheena's teachers remember him attending one of the parent-teacher meeting. Sheena was then sent to Disneyland School in Guwahati where she was considered a quiet, but intelligent child.
A teacher recalled,"She had a very close circle of two-three friends with whom she would share her angst about the parents she did not know. She broke down before the entire class as a 14-year-old when the morning papers carried a picture of her mother with Peter Mukerjea announcing their marriage."
The return
Indrani returned to Guwahati just after the marriage with Peter in 2002. She splurged thousands on renovating the house and helped her father start a guesthouse in Sundernagar, which is still run by him.

Sheena was apparently forgiven by her children. Sheena, meanwhile was sent for a world tour after her higher secondary exams. After which, she moved to Mumbai while Mikhail stayed back. She joined St Xavier's college to study economics in 2006.
Complications begin
One of very close friends of Sheena said that she was not upset with her mother for her second marriage, but for the fact that she had another daughter from another husband who was in her care.
Sheena was talking about Vidhi who was conceived by Indrani with a latter husband Sanjeev Khanna (a businessman). Also a Calcuttan, he now serves a crucial evidence to the cold-blooded murder).
Sheena lived in a PG in the Fort area when she came to Mumbai for the first time. Later she began staying with Peter and Indrani at their Worli Seaface flat.

Sanjeev Khanna brings a new twist
Indrani had a bitter marriage with Sanjeev and had charged the latter with harassment. She fought a bitter battle with him over Vidhi's custody and finally won.
Vidhie was later adopted by Peter when the duo got married. Vidhie, now lives in the United Kingdom as per a few media channels. Ironically, Indrani still kept in touch with the once 'abusive' husband-Sanju (Sanjeev)- and is said to have looped him in while plotting the murder of Sheena.
The driver confessed that Sheena, Indrani and Sanjeev were in the car with him when she was being ferried to the airport on the pretext of sending her off to the US.

The driver also confirmed that Sheena was strangulated, cut into pieces, burnt and then buried in a forest.
The case is complicated and so are the characters. While the case is still unravelling, there are questions that boggle the mind. Why is there no history of Indrani's parentage and family? Where is Siddhartha Das? and many more.
