The Congress party's candidate from the Gandevi Assembly Constituency for the Gujarat Assembly elections 2017 is Sureshbhai Halpati.
Gandevi is a city and municipality in Navsari district in Gujarat. This seat is reserved for a member of Scheduled Tribes.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s Mangubhai Chhaganbhai Patel is the current MLA representing this seat. The BJP has been winning from Gandevi Assembly Constituency since 1995. In 2012 Gujarat Assembly elections, Mangubhai Chhaganbhai Patel defeated Congress party's Bhartiben Nardevbhai Patel by 26,177 votes.
