Sabarimala stampede: Deadly accident for hindu pilgrims
The year's worst tragedy for the worshippers, on 14 Jan 2011, a stampede caused due to road accident in the dense forest, that claimed more than 104 Hindu pilgrims dead and over 60 injured at Pulmedu in Kerala's Idukki district.

A bus collided with a jeep and went out of control, crushing people walking nearby. Panicked pilgrims rushed forward that led to the stampede.
