2G scam brings more pressure for politicians in 2011
The scandal relating to the allotment of second-generation mobile telephony spectrum, which led to an estimated loss of Rs 1.76 lakh crore was still much debated issue in both houses of Parliament in 2011. It brought everyone from former Telecom Minister A Raja to DMK MP Kanimozhi behind the bars.

In another major twist, on Dec 8, 2011 a Delhi Court allowed Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy to depose as a witness and submit further evidence in support of his private complaint against Union Home Minister P Chidambaram in the 2G spectrum case. [Read: The complete details of 2G scam]
