A shocking video of a woman being assaulted has been doing the rounds on the social media.

Those sharing the video have alleged that Black man beat up a White woman in a park in front of her children. Another who shared the clip said that the attacker was still on the loose. Others blamed US President Joe Biden for rising crimes rates in the US.

OneIndia has learnt that this is a video of a scuffle from 2014 and it is between two women. The woman was sentenced to three years in jail.

A reverse search of the keyframes from the viral video led us to a report in CBS News with the headline, N.J woman violently beaten as young son tried to intervene.

Per the report, Latia Harris assaulted Catherine Ferreira in front of her two-year-old son. She suffered a broken nose and a mild concussion fro which she was treated at the Memorial Hospital of Salem County. Haris turned herself in after eluding arrest for six days.

The victim worked with Harris at McDonalds in Salem. The attack was sparked by workspace gossip as the Harris thought it could jeopardise her job.

Hence it is clear that this is an old video from 2014 and it shows a woman assaulting another woman. The images and videos are being shared now with misleading claims on the social media.
