The Family Man 3: Netizens Slam 'Abrupt Ending' As Manoj Bajpayee's Series Gets Rave Reviews

Netizens are far from pleased with how The Family Man 3 wraps up. The much-awaited season dropped on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, and while fans loved the pace, performances and intrigue, many were left frustrated by what they call an "abrupt, unfinished" ending.

Netizens Slam The Family Man 3 Makers

Several viewers took to social media to vent. One user wrote, "Family Man Season 3 ends so abruptly it feels like the makers simply packed up and went home. This new trend of building tension for hours only to skip the climax entirely is exhausting. At least pretend you care about closure."

Another commented, "#TheFamilyMan3... ahh ending entra 🤦🏼‍♂️ Fully disappointed."

A third viewer tried to balance praise with criticism, saying, "The family angle was blended beautifully and became the emotional core of the season. There's also a cameo stretch that is a complete laughter riot for 15-20 minutes. Overall, a great season, but the ending could've been much better."

And then came the common complaint echoing across timelines: "Why make us watch the entire season if the makers plan to keep the best part hanging for the next one?"

Nonetheless, many fans have hailed the series and called it an engaging web series. "Good job team, it is absoubtely engaging," a fan praised the makers.

What Season 3 Is About

The Family Man 3 places Srikant Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee) in what is arguably the most emotionally loaded and dangerous phase of his life. Years have passed since Season 2, and though Srikant and Suchitra (Priyamani) now live in a larger apartment, their marriage is hanging by a thread. They barely speak, the distance is palpable, and divorce seems like an unspoken but looming possibility.

Even as his personal life unravels, a new threat erupts in the Northeast. Within 48 hours, six cities are rocked by coordinated blasts, jeopardising Prime Minister Basu's (Seema Biswas) flagship peace effort, Project Sahakar. The initiative relies heavily on revered regional leader David Khuzou (Sunil Thapa), who has managed to bring warring groups to the table.

Srikant and his superior Gautam Kulkarni (Dalip Tahil) head to Nagaland to ensure the deal goes through. But the ground situation is already volatile - especially with David's grandson, Stephen Khuzou (Paalin Kabak), openly rejecting the agreement. Before the signing can take place, their convoy is ambushed by dreaded drug kingpin Rukma (Jaideep Ahlawat). David and Kulkarni are killed instantly. Rukma leaves Srikant for dead, unknowingly setting off the chaos that follows.

Stephen is immediately painted as the mastermind and goes underground. But startlingly, the needle of suspicion soon swings toward Srikant. As the only survivor and one of the few privy to the convoy's exact route, he suddenly finds himself under the NIA scanner.

Meanwhile in Mumbai, Suchitra is battling her own public crisis. The government bans 69 Chinese apps, including her platform ShrinkMe. A TV debate meant to defend her work spirals out of control, unleashing targeted trolling that drags Dhriti into the mud.

With pressure mounting on all fronts, an arrest warrant is issued against Srikant. Hunted by the NIA, TASC and its new chief Yatish Chawla (Harman Singha), he chooses the only option left - flee the city with his family.

What follows is a tense, fast-paced pursuit as Srikant fights to clear his name and protect his loved ones. Each revelation deepens the mystery: Is he being set up? Who orchestrated the deadly ambush? And what is the bigger game at play?

The Verdict From Viewers

While fans acknowledged the season's gripping pace, sharp writing and emotional depth, the overwhelming sentiment online is clear: the ending deserved more. Many feel the story cuts off just when the tension peaks, leaving viewers hanging without a satisfying payoff.

For now, fans can only hope Season 4 comes sooner - and offers the closure they were craving this time.
