'Thangalaan' 2nd Day Box Office Collection: How Much Has It Collected In Chennai, Trichy, Bengaluru & Kochi?
After a strong opening, Vikram's 'Thangalaan' witnessed a dip in its box office collection on Friday.
While the movie did notable business in Tamil Nadu, the Vikram-starrer could not pull the viewers to theatres in big numbers on its second day, data on box-office tracking website Sacnik shows.

'Thangaalan' Performance In Tamil Nadu
The second-day occupancy rates in theatres across Tamil Nadu varied throughout the day. Morning shows saw a 20.46 cent turnout, which increased to 29.60 per cent in the afternoon, 31.27 per cent in the evening, and peaked at 48.94 per cent during the night shows.
Region-wise Occupancy Breakdown:
Chennai: The capital city recorded overall occupancy of 40.25 per cent, with night shows leading at 61 per cent, while the morning shows saw just 26 per cent.
Madurai: Madurai saw modest attendance with an overall occupancy of 23.25 per cent. The highest turnout was during the night shows at 35 per cent, while morning shows lagged behind at 14 per cent.
Coimbatore: The city recorded an overall occupancy of 29.00 per cent, with night shows performing best at 50 per cent. Morning shows, however, saw only 13 per cent.
Salem: Salem registered a 34.75 per cent occupancy overall, with consistent numbers across the day. Night shows had a 42 per cent turnout.
Vellore: Vellore saw an overall occupancy of 35.25 per cent, with night shows attracting 45 per cent of the crowd.
Dindigul: Dindigul had a 27.50 per cent occupancy overall, with night shows at 36 per cent and morning shows at 18 per cent.
Trichy: Trichy performed the best, with an overall occupancy of 50.75 per cent. Night shows had a strong 79 per cent turnout.
Outside Tamil Nadu
Bengaluru: Bengaluru maintained steady footfall with an overall occupancy of 29.00 per cent. Night shows had a 35 per cent occupancy, slightly higher than the 17 per cent in the morning.
Pondicherry: Pondicherry had a higher overall occupancy of 45.50 per cent, with morning shows at 38 per cent and night shows peaking at 60 per cent.
Kochi: Kochi struggled with lower occupancy, recording only 16.75per cent overall. Night shows fared better at 28per cent, but morning shows saw just 14per cent. The city hosted 73 shows.
Trivandrum: Trivandrum saw the lowest overall occupancy at 12.75per cent, with morning shows at 8 per cent and night shows at 20per cent. A total of 68 shows were screened.
However, the Telugu version had an overall turnout of 36.46 per cent on Friday.
Box Office Collection
The movie, which earned Rs 11.7 crore on its first day at the Tamil Nadu box office, saw its earnings drop to a little over Rs 5 crore on the second day, based on early estimates. The overall collection is estimated to be around Rs 7.5 crore.
