Thalapathy Vijay Called Ajith To Congratulate On Padma Award Win: Thala's Manager Suresh Chandra
Speculation has been rife regarding whether Thalapathy Vijay congratulated Ajith Kumar- first for his success in the 24H Dubai 2025 international car race and later for being honoured with the prestigious Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian award.
Confusion Around Vijay's Call To Ajith

Conflicting reports emerged, with some claiming that Vijay had reached out on both occasions, while others suggested he had not. Additionally, certain sections criticized Vijay for not publicly wishing Ajith, unlike Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, who openly expressed their congratulations.
Now, the truth has come straight from the horse's mouth. In an interview, Ajith's manager Suresh Chandra has said that Thalapathy had indeed called Thala.
He said, "These claims are entirely baseless. Vijay was among the first to congratulate Ajith Sir on his racing victory. Similarly, when the Padma Bhushan award was announced, Vijay Sir also congratulated him. Both share a genuine and heartfelt friendship. So, there is no truth to the claim that Vijay Sir didn't extend his wishes."
Ajith Kumar, often perceived as Vijay's professional rival, is currently preparing for the release of his next movie, Vidaamuyarchi. Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, the film features Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, Arav, and Ramya Subramanian in key roles.
The much-anticipated movie is slated for release on February 6, adding to the excitement among fans.
Ajith's Dubai24H Victory
In the recently concluded event, the actor's racing team won third place in the '992 - Porsche 911 GT3' category.
Ajith's manager Suresh Chandra shared his statement in a post on social media platform X.
In a post on social media shared by Suresh Chandra, Ajith said, "I cannot find words grand enough to thank the Almighty, my family, members of the film industry, the media, political leaders, sports personalities, well wishers and my beloved fans for the immense support and encouragement extended to me before the Dubai race event, during the race, and even now after the event,"
Chandra said that the "unwavering love and encouragement" Ajith has received has been the "driving force behind my passion and perseverance".
"It motivates me to push my limits, embrace challenges, and aim for new milestones in motorsport. This journey is as much about you as it is about me, and I am committed to making every moment on the track a testament to the faith you have placed in me," Ajith stated.
