Stop Using Sympathy Card: Naga Chaitanya Fans Tell Samantha For Raking Up Divorce Topic Ahead Of His Marriage

As Naga Chaitanya prepares to tie the knot with Sobhita Dhulipala on December 4 in Hyderabad, his fans have lashed out at his ex-wife, actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, for bringing up their divorce in a recent interview. Many accused her of seeking attention and criticized her timing, especially with Chaitanya's new chapter in life approaching.

One fan voiced their frustration on social media: "Samantha needs to move on with her life. No point talking about something that happened 3 years ago. Divorce is common, especially among celebrities. It's wrong to talk about it now when Naga Chaitanya has found love again and is about to marry Sobhita."

The second user said, "kadhu divorce ayyi enni years aina kuda samantha interviews lo indirect ga relationship topic theesukoni vachi sympathy gain chesthundhi 2 days back kuda varun dhawan adigina question ki naa ex meedha pettina amount waste anindhi."

A section of netizens accused Samantha of repeatedly discussing her past relationship in interviews. One user said, "She can't seem to give an interview without taking his name. Move on, Samantha!" Another sarcastically commented, "Never-ending divorce story of Showmantha."

The fourth netizen claimed, "It's been 3 Years, 1 Month & 24 Days since the separation news was officially announced. He moved on and going to start a new life in a few days. Why don't the other person move on as well instead of dragging the issue forever?"

Others claimed her remarks were disrespectful towards Naga Chaitanya, who has largely maintained silence about their separation. A fan stated, "He hasn't uttered a single word about her, but she continues to insult him. When you're in a relationship, you should respect the other's lifestyle. This is wrong."

Some criticized Samantha for allegedly using her past to gain sympathy. "It feels like she's using the divorce topic to promote her projects. She doesn't cry in a corner, but she chooses interviews to cry about it," a user mocked.

In a candid conversation with actor Varun Dhawan, Samantha shared her experiences dealing with the stigma surrounding divorce. She said, "When a woman goes through a divorce, there is a lot of shame and stigma attached. People call you 'second-hand' or say your life is wasted. Initially, it hurt, but I decided to own it. I'm separated, I'm divorced, and it's not the end of my life. I'm happy, doing good work, and looking forward to the next phase."

Samantha also spoke about overcoming societal judgment and moving forward with resilience. "Things haven't been a fairytale, but that doesn't mean I stop living. Life begins where it ends," she added.

Samantha and Naga Chaitanya, one of South India's most celebrated couples, married in 2017 after years of dating. They announced their separation in 2021, citing irreconcilable differences. While Samantha has occasionally spoken about the emotional challenges of their divorce, Chaitanya has refrained from public comments on the matter.
