Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment Makes Rs 85 Crore Profit For FY23

Red Chillies Entertainment, owned by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, recorded a net profit of Rs 85 crore in the fiscal year 2022-2023, Times Now reported.

This marks a significant turnaround from the Rs 22 crore loss reported in FY22, driven by a revenue surge of 2.3 times. However, Red Chillies Entertainment has not yet disclosed its revenue for the fiscal year ending in March 2024.

Red Chillies is involved in film production, distribution, OTT content, and VFX production. The King Khan holds a 50 per cent stake in the company, while his wife Gauri Khan owns 49.9 per cent. According to the report, Red Chillies has listed unreleased films and unsold film rights amounting to Rs 367 crore. This includes Rs 357 crore allocated to web series and films currently in production, and Rs 9.6 crore for movie rights.

In 1999, Khan, with his best friend Juhi Chawla, he founded the defunct Dreamz Unlimited. It then transformed to Red Chillies Entertainment in 2002. The Khan's company now has 55 per cent stake in the Indian Premier League cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders.

Since its inception, Red Chillies has funded many movies including 'Om Shanti Om,' 'My Name Is Khan,' 'Student of the Year,' 'Chennai Express,' 'Happy New Year,' 'Dear Zindagi,' 'Raees,' 'Badla,' 'Jawan,' 'Dunki,' and more.

Red Chillies Entertainment has contributed visual effects to notable films like 'Don,' 'Zero,' 'Fan,' 'Drona,' 'Krrish 3,' 'Phillauri,' 'Jagga Jasoos,' 'Tumbbad,' 'Saaho,' 'Mission Mangal,' 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy,' 'Roohi,' 'RRR,' 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2,' and 'Ponniyin Selvan.'
