Rashmika Mandanna Won’t Invite Me For Wedding: Ex-boyfriend Rakshit Shetty's Close Friend

Kannada actor Pramod Shetty, close friend of Rakshit Shetty, has said that he has not been invited by Rashmika Mandanna for her marriage with Telugu actor Vijay Deverakonda.

Actor Pramod Shetty has reacted with humour and surprising candour to the viral wedding invitation of Rashmika and Vijay, which has set social media abuzz over the past few days.

Known to be a close friend and longtime collaborator of Rakshit Shetty, Pramod made it clear he isn't expecting any invite - and isn't losing sleep over it either.

Speaking to reporters, Pramod was asked whether he had received a wedding invitation from Rashmika. With a smile, he replied, "I haven't received Rashmika's wedding invitation yet. If I get it, I'll go." But he quickly followed it up with a laugh and a more pointed remark: "We know Rashmika Mandanna won't give us a wedding invitation. And Rakshit Shetty isn't a chocolate-eating child who will sit around feeling guilty."

His comments reflect the complicated history between Rashmika and Rakshit, who were once one of the most talked-about couples in the Kannada film industry. Rakshit had introduced Rashmika to cinema, and their relationship blossomed during the making of their film together.

The couple got engaged, raising hopes among fans, but eventually called off the wedding just months later, a development that surprised many and sparked endless speculation.

When reporters pressed Pramod further on why he was so certain an invitation wouldn't arrive, he shrugged off the question with a philosophical tone. "That the wedding invitation won't come is something everyone already knows. What's new in that?" he said, suggesting that the distance between the former couple's circles is no secret.

Pramod also addressed questions about Rakshit's relatively low public visibility in recent times. Defending his friend, he said Rakshit has always worked differently from others in the industry. "He'll rise like a phoenix. He gave a statement recently, didn't he? He hasn't gone anywhere. That's how he writes his films. He takes some time. Then he comes back and calmly makes a movie. He isn't in as much of a hurry as we are," Pramod explained.

He firmly dismissed any suggestion that Rakshit might still be carrying emotional baggage from the past. "All that is long gone. Are we little kids to sit and sulk over that? Are we kids eating chocolate? That phase is over," he said, making it clear that his friend has moved on.

Meanwhile, the viral invitation doing the rounds online claims Rashmika and Vijay will marry on February 26, followed by a grand reception in Hyderabad on March 4.
