Paranthu Po OTT Release Date: When Will Shiva-Starrer Have Its Digital Release?

Paranthu Po, a Tamil film featuring actors Shiva and Grace Antony, is currently showing in cinemas. This comedy drama will soon be available on OTT platforms. JioHotstar has acquired the post-theatrical rights and plans to stream it soon.

Director Ram, known for his thought-provoking films, helmed Paranthu Po. The movie, which includes actors like Mithun Ryan and others, was released in theatres earlier this month. It has received positive feedback from audiences and critics alike. Paranthu Po also premiered at international film festivals last year.

Paranthu Po's Storyline

The plot revolves around Gokul (Mirchi Shiva) and Glory (Grace Antony), who are burdened with numerous EMIs. They strive to provide everything for their demanding child Anbu (Mithul). Glory runs a saree shop while Gokul struggles to start a business. During Anbu's half-yearly vacation, he is confined to home attending classes arranged by his parents.

While Glory travels to Coimbatore for an expo, Gokul juggles work and caring for their restless son. Anbu, tired of being indoors, persuades his father to take him on a spontaneous drive. This journey becomes a path of self-discovery for Gokul.

Production Details

The film features a talented cast including Anjali, Aju Varghese, and Vijay Yesudas. Produced by Ram along with V Gunasekaran, V Karupuchaamy, and V Shankar under banners like JioHotstar and GKS Bros Production, the project also involves Seven Seas And Seven Hills Productions.

Cinematographer NK Ekhambram captured the visuals while Mathi VS handled editing duties. Santhosh Dhayanithi composed the music score. Notably, Ram chose not to collaborate with Yuvan Shankar Raja this time.

Reports suggest that Paranthu Po will begin streaming on JioHotstar on August 4. However, an official announcement regarding the exact release date is awaited from JioHotstar. Viewers can watch it with an OTTplay Premium subscription once it premieres online.
