My Silence Is Not Sign Of Weakness: Aarti Ravi Amid Kenishaa's Claims Of Abuse Against Jayam Ravi
Aarti Ravi has released a second statement addressing the ongoing controversy surrounding her personal life and her husband, actor Jayam Ravi's divorce petition. Aarti clarified that her silence should not be mistaken for weakness or guilt as Ravi's friend, Kenishaa Francis, who has spoken out about the actor's struggles in family life.
In her latest statement, Aarti, without naming Kenishaa, said, "In light of the ongoing public commentary surrounding my personal life, I find it important to emphasise that my silence is not a sign of weakness or guilt. I've chosen to stay dignified and not respond to those trying to portray me in a bad light to conceal the truth, but I trust the legal system to bring justice."

She further clarified that her previous statement referred to the public announcement of mutual consent for the divorce, which she claims came as a shock to her. She reiterated that the divorce currently underway is unilateral and not mutually agreed upon, as previously misinterpreted. "I still hope for a private conversation on this matter, which has been denied till date," Aarti added. She concluded by stating her respect for the sanctity of marriage and her refusal to engage in public disputes that tarnish reputations.
Meanwhile, Kenishaa Francis, a Bengaluru-based singer and spiritual therapist, has publicly condemned Aarti for making her a "scapegoat" in the ongoing divorce proceedings. In an interview with DT Next, Kenishaa clarified that Jayam Ravi reached out to her only after sending a divorce notice to Aarti. She denied being the reason for the couple's separation, stating that their relationship is strictly professional.
"He got in touch with me again around June when he was mentally and emotionally bruised from his marriage to Aarti," Kenishaa explained. She also debunked media reports suggesting that Aarti learned about her relationship with Ravi after his car was fined for a traffic violation in Goa, clarifying that she was involved only in helping him navigate to her healing center.
Kenishaa also dismissed rumors about them purchasing an apartment together in Goa, saying, "I heard Ravi and I purchased an apartment in Goa. I've been manifesting this for a long time, but it's not true. Ravi is a friend and a client of mine." She further added that any speculation about a romantic relationship is purely media-driven and has no basis in reality.
Kenishaa had concluded by emphasizing that her relationship with Jayam Ravi remains strictly professional, stating, "As a therapist, it was beyond painful for me to hear about his struggles with Aarti and her family." She underscored that while they have maintained their boundaries, the actor's personal pain is deep, and she expressed sympathy for what he has endured.
