Let Me Know If You Want Vinesh Phogat’s Phone Number To Call: Prakash Raj To PM Modi
Actor Prakash Raj has trolled Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking him whether he needs the contact number of wrestler Vinesh Phogat who knocked out reigning champion Yui Susaki of Japan in the Paris Olympics on Tuesday in women's 50kg category.
"Mr Supreme leader .. let me know if you want the phone number of our true Champion @Phogat_Vinesh.. #justasking #NaariShakti," he wrote in a post on X.

It comes at a time when the Congress has trained guns at PM Modi asking him whether he will call Vinesh who had led the protest against the then-Wrestlers' Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, said in a post on X, "After defeating three top wrestlers in the world in a single day, the whole country is emotional along with Vinesh." He added, "Those who refused to acknowledge the struggles of Vinesh and her friends, and even raised questions about their intentions and abilities, have now received their answer."
He continued, "Today, the entire system of power that made her shed tears of blood lies shattered before the brave daughter of India," emphasizing that champions prove their worth on the field.
Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said, "Vinesh Phogat is assured of a silver or a gold medal at Paris. Will the non-biological PM call her? To congratulate her of course but more importantly to apologise for the atrocious manner in which the Delhi Police misbehaved with her during the women wrestlers protest?"
The opposition parties had criticised the Prime Minister for not responding to the wrestlers' protest against the former WFI chief. Hence, the Congress is not wasting the opportunity to ask whether he will call the wrestler as the PM is known for congratulating sportsmen and inviting them to his office if they achieve a milestone. Recently, he had invited the Indian cricket team after winning the T20 World Cup.
Meanwhile, Tokyo Games bronze medallist wrestler Bajrang Punia has called Vinesh Phogat as the "lioness of India". "Vinesh Phogat is the lioness of India who won back-to-back matches today. Defeated 4-time World Champion and defending Olympic champion. After that he defeated the former World Champion in the quarterfinals," Punia wrote on his 'X' handle.
He then recalled that she was dragged on the streets and kicked during the protests.
"But let me tell you one thing. This girl was kicked and crushed in her own country. This girl was dragged on the streets in her country. This girl is going to conquer the world but she lost to the system in this country," he added.
