Did Jason Sanjay Unfollow Thalapathy Vijay On Instagram Amid Divorce Row?

Speculation surrounding the personal life of Vijay has intensified in recent days, with fresh chatter emerging about his son, Jason Sanjay, and his social media activity. Online discussions picked up pace after some fan pages claimed that Jason had unfollowed his father on Instagram, sparking debates amid ongoing reports about a possible rift between Vijay and his wife.

The alleged "unfollow" quickly became a talking point across social media platforms, with screenshots and theories doing the rounds. However, a section of netizens pointed out that there is no clear evidence to show that Jason was following Vijay's account earlier.

This has left the issue open to interpretation, as neither Jason nor Vijay has addressed the speculation publicly. The timing of the rumours, though, coincides with widespread reports about trouble in Vijay's marriage.

According to media reports, including updates attributed to ANI, Vijay's wife Sangeetha Sornalingam has approached the Chengalpattu Family Court seeking a divorce. The petition reportedly includes serious allegations, including claims that the actor was involved in an extramarital relationship with an actress. So far, there has been no official clarification or statement from either Vijay or Sangeetha confirming or rejecting these claims.

Vijay and Sangeetha's relationship dates back to the late 1990s. Sangeetha, who has Sri Lankan Tamil roots and was raised in the United Kingdom, first met the actor after watching his breakthrough film Poove Unakkaga. During a visit to Chennai, she reportedly met Vijay at Film City to congratulate him on the film's success. That meeting is said to have marked the beginning of their association.

Following their initial interaction, Vijay introduced Sangeetha to his parents - filmmaker S. A. Chandrasekhar and Shoba Chandrasekhar. Over time, the families grew closer. Reports suggest that Vijay's family even travelled to London to meet Sangeetha's relatives before finalising the wedding.

The couple tied the knot on August 25, 1999, in a traditional Hindu ceremony in Chennai, followed by a grand reception. Despite their different religious backgrounds, the wedding was conducted according to Hindu rituals, reflecting mutual respect for traditions.

They later became parents to two children. Their son was born in 2000, and their daughter in 2005. Both children have occasionally appeared in cameo roles in Vijay's films, including Vettaikaaran and Theri.

In recent years, Vijay has stepped into politics with the launch of his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, further increasing public attention on his personal and professional life.

For now, the divorce proceedings and the social media rumours remain unverified by the family. Until an official statement is issued, much of what is circulating continues to rest on speculation rather than confirmed facts.
