Dhurandhar 2 Review: Here Is What Virat Kohli, Anushka Say About Ranveer's Film

Celebrity couple Virat Kohli, Indian cricket icon, and his wife Anushka Sharma have showered praises on the blockbuster film Dhurandhar 2, which stars Ranveer Singh. On their Instagram pages, they shared their views on Aditya Dhar-directorial film.

Kohli called it the best cinematic experience he has ever had. Taking to his Instagram Stories, the former India captain lauded director Aditya Dhar and lead actor Ranveer Singh for what he described as an unforgettable four-hour journey.

"Saw the film today and dare I say that I've never ever seen a cinematic experience like this made in India," Kohli wrote. "It brought out every kind of emotion to the surface, and I didn't flinch once for almost four hours. @adityadharfilms, your talent and conviction are reflected in what you've created. Hats off to you. You're a genius. And although all actors were great in their roles, @ranveersingh, you have attained a different level after this movie. Your performance was beyond brilliant. Absolutely WOW."

Kohli's effusive review has since gone viral, adding to the film's already massive buzz.

Responding to Virat Kohli's review, Aditya commented, "Wow! I can't believe this is happening. Virat, this truly means a lot. I've been a fan since your under-19 World Cup days. Seeing a once-in-a-generation legend show appreciation like this is something special. The way you represent the country every time you step out inspires us; in our own small ways, we'll always strive to make India proud with our films. Jai Hind."

Anushka Sharma's Candid Take

On the other hand, actor-producer Anushka Sharma also shared her thoughts on social media. "What a fantastic film you've made @adityadharfilms! It takes so much conviction to make an almost four-hour-long film. Gripping and immersive, meticulously crafted, the film holds your attention through and through. You are a fiercely original and assured filmmaker."

She reserved special mention for Ranveer Singh, writing: "You seized a once-in-a-lifetime character and delivered a solid, flawless performance." Anushka also credited the supporting cast, including R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Rakesh Bedi, adding: "Every performance lands perfectly; the film is unthinkable without each of you. Many congratulations to everyone behind this one."

After two weeks and three weekends, Dhurandhar 2 has collected a staggering ₹1,622 crore gross worldwide, according to figures from Jio Studios. Overseas earnings stand at ₹394 crore as of 6 April, while domestic gross collections are ₹1,228 crore (net ₹1,041 crore). On Day 18 alone, Dhurandhar: The Revenge earned a net of ₹28.75 crore across 14,229 shows in India, cementing its status as one of the biggest hits in Indian cinema history.
