Chaos On Ayushmann Khurrana-Sara Ali Khan Film Set In Prayagraj, Crew Member Assaulted

Prayagraj witnessed chaos on Wednesday during the shooting of Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan's upcoming film Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 in the Civil Lines area. A video from the spot surfaced showing local youths assaulting a crew member, identified as the film's production head Zoheb Solapurwala. Another clip reportedly showed Ayushmann and Sara in a heated exchange following the incident.

On Friday, police registered an FIR at Civil Lines police station against one Meraj Ali, accused of recording and posting the video online, along with several unidentified individuals.

Line producer Saurabh Tiwari, who lodged the complaint, explained that the trouble began when someone tried to film the shoot without permission. "The team from Mumbai was working in Civil Lines when a person attempted to record the scene. A crew member objected and raised his voice, after which two to three people attacked him and slapped him," he said.

DCP (City) Abhishek Bharti confirmed that additional security has now been deployed for the film unit. "A police team had already been present on Thursday to regulate traffic, but some youths continued making videos on their phones, which led to the altercation," he stated. The FIR includes charges under Sections 191 (2), 115 (2), 352, 351 (2), 351 (3) of the IPC and Section 66 of the IT Act, 2008.

Locals reported that a large crowd had gathered near All Saints Cathedral to catch a glimpse of the stars. One lane of the road had been closed for the shoot, which triggered severe traffic congestion in the area. Some annoyed youths, frustrated by the jam, reportedly created a commotion and assaulted a member of the film crew.

The shoot for Pati Patni Aur Woh 2, directed by Mudassar Aziz, began on August 15 and will continue in Prayagraj until September 11.
