The news of AR Rahman and Saira Banu parting ways after 29 years of marriage has left fans and followers in shock. AR Rahman and Saira Banu's lawyer, Vandana Shah, addressed these rumors in an interview with ANI, calling them baseless. She confirmed that the divorce is not finalized but is progressing amicably. Without divulging the specifics of the separation, Vandana emphasized that it was a decision born out of emotional challenges in the relationship.

Regarding the rumors connecting Mohini Dey to the separation, Vandana criticized the assumptions, stating:

"This colleague of his, whose divorce is also happening-what is this? Who even came up with such a ridiculous rumor? It's such nonsense. I want to use a legal term here: I would treat it with contempt for those spreading such baseless issues."

Vandana also shed light on the dignified life the couple has led over the years, emphasizing that no one enters a marriage expecting a divorce. She added:

"For 29 years, they have led a very dignified life. Just because their journey isn't ending as a fairytale doesn't mean they lose that dignity. No one goes into a marriage expecting a divorce."

Adding to the surprise, AR Rahman announced the separation with a hashtag, #ARSairaBreakup, which took many by surprise. The unusual move sparked mixed reactions, with some questioning its sensitivity, especially given the involvement of their adult children.

In a recent statement to India Today, Saira Banu's lawyer shed light on the emotional struggles that led to the separation:

"After many years of marriage, Mrs. Saira has made the heart-wrenching decision to part ways with her husband, Mr. A.R. Rahman. This choice follows a period of considerable emotional turmoil in their relationship. Despite the profound love they share, ongoing tensions and challenges have created a divide that neither of them feels capable of overcoming at this moment."
