Amaran Box Office Collection: How Much Has Sivakarthikeyan's Film Earned In Tamil Nadu?

Sivakarthikeyan's Amaran has become his biggest box-office hits till date as it breached Rs 300-crore mark at the worldwide box office.

It has become the ninth movie to achieve this feat after Rajinikanth's Enthiran, Kabali, 2 Point O , Jailer, Bigil, Varisu, Leo, and The GOAT.

How Much Has Amaran Earned In Tamil Nadu?

As per the trade reports, Amaran has collected Rs 141.8 crore in Tamil Nadu. The movie was released to good hype on 31 October. Backed with positive reviews and word-of-mouth, the movie has managed to pull audience to theatre in 19 days.

On the first day, it had grossed Rs 16.5 crore. In the next three days, it collected Rs 16 crore. Rs 17 crore and Rs 17.1 crore, respectively, to take the first weekend total to Rs 69.6 crore.

Rajkumar Periasamy-directorial movie raked in Rs 89.65 crore in the first week. The business improved in the weekend. On its second Saturday and Sunday, it collected close to Rs 23 crore.

In its second week, the Tamil movie earned Rs 40.1 crore.

Apart from Tamil Nadu, the movie has been received well in Telugu-speaking states as it has collected close to Rs 42 crore from Andhra and Telangana. In Karnataka, it raked in Rs 21.85 crore while earning Rs 11.6 crore. From rest of the country, it has raked in Rs 4.2 crore.

Starring Sivakarthikeyan as Major Mukund Varadarajan, along with Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, and Rahul Bose, the film is inspired by true military accounts from the book series India's Most Fearless by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. The movie has been lauded for its powerful storytelling and impactful performances, leading to positive word-of-mouth and strong critical reviews.
