Vidaamuyarchi, directed by Magizh Thirumeni and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under Lyca Productions, is inspired by the 1997 American thriller Breakdown. The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, Arav, and Ramya Subramanian. The story follows Arjun's desperate search for his wife, Kayal, who has been abducted by a notorious group in Azerbaijan.

Despite the competition, both Ajith and Vijay continue to command immense fan followings and lucrative deals. While Vijay is currently the highest-paid actor in Tamil cinema, Ajith remains a strong contender, with his remuneration soaring with each new project.
