Noida School Holiday Alert: All Govt and Private Schools Likely to Shut Tomorrow Due To Dense Fog

Noida School holiday: Dense fog and an intense cold wave have led to an extended break for students, as the Office of the District Basic Education Officer, Gautam Buddha Nagar, has ordered School Holidays 2025 for every school in the district.

The official direction confirms that teaching for all classes, from nursery up to Class 12, has been stopped. This applies to institutions under every recognised board in Gautam Buddha Nagar and follows concern about student safety in the current weather.

School Holiday 2025 notice and boards covered

The order has been issued by District Basic Education Officer Rahul Pawar, who has instructed that schools linked to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Indian Certificate of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh Board, International Baccalaureate and other boards will not conduct classes during this period.

The formal notice states, "In compliance with the instructions issued by the District Magistrate, Gautam Buddha Nagar, and considering the dense fog and extreme cold, all schools (Nursery to Class 12) recognised by various boards such as CBSE, ICSE, IB, UP Board and others operating in Gautam Budh Nagar district will remain closed from December 29, 2025, to January 1, 2026," and also stresses strict adherence.

Earlier communication from the Office of the District Basic Education Officer mentions School Holidays 2025 for all schools in the district until January 1, 2025, with the current detailed notice fixing the suspension of classes from December 29, 2025, to January 1, 2026.

According to the same order, School Holidays 2025 apply only to students, as teachers and other staff in government, non-government and council schools have been told to attend work as usual and continue official duties during the closure period.

Authorities have also clarified the reopening plan linked to School Holidays 2025. Schools in Gautam Buddha Nagar are scheduled to resume regular classes on January 2, 2026, since the declared holiday stretch continues through January 1.

School Holidays 2025 in Bihar and Jharkhand due to cold wave

The impact of the cold wave behind School Holidays 2025 is visible beyond Gautam Buddha Nagar, with administrations in Bihar and Jharkhand also suspending classes, citing risks to children’s health from the persistent low temperatures and chilly winds.

In Bihar, school sessions have been halted until December 30, while in Jharkhand, institutions will stay closed until December 31, after Ranchi came under a yellow alert and Patna kept reporting very low temperatures, reinforcing regional caution similar to School Holidays 2025.

With School Holidays 2025 in force across Gautam Buddha Nagar and similar closures in Bihar and Jharkhand, officials are prioritising student safety in harsh winter conditions, while keeping staff on duty so that teaching and administration can restart smoothly once temperatures improve.
